We just performed a clean install of Virtualmin on a virgin install of Ubuntu x64 8.04 LTS and when we create a new virtual website we now get this error on the root website:

Is there any content uploaded into the document root at the moment?
For example, do you still receive that error if an index.html file exists?

There are no files in the root fodler for the www.wired4us.com VS, however eGroupware was deployed and is being used in the phac.wired4us.com/portal fodler.

Well, it times out if I attempt to connect to phac.wired4us.com.
However, in accessing your main site, wired4us.com, try putting in an index.html file and see if you continue to have the same problems.

Odd, when the client hits http://wired4us.com, they get this error ...

Right -- try uploading an index file, such as "index.html", into your public_html folder for wired4us.com, and see if that makes a difference.

This message is actually expected - unless the domain has an index.html or index.htm or index.php file, no web content will be displayed because we have directory indexing turned off by default. The fix is to upload an appropriate index.html file or other contents ..

But when I created the virtual server I deployed a template site, where is it?
Submitted by JamieCameron on Tue, 10/20/2009 - 12:50 Comment #10
By template, do you mean you selected something under "Initial website content" when creating the domain? That is the only way an index.html file will be created ..

Yes, when we created the virtual instance we completed the information for the template... this somehow disappeared after creation. Going back into the Edit Website section and re-creating the template from scratch fixed the issue. This ticket can be closed... Problem was resolved. THX
