One of our hosting resellers asked us how simple users from his customer could add a signature in Usermin.
In Usermin, to add a signature it is in "User Preferences" -> "Sending email" -> "Signature file", but you need to upload a file first in all cases.
It is impossible for users without FTP access to change .signature or upload a signature file.
Suggestion:
Rename field from "Signature file" to "Signature", and add a textarea field for the "~/.signature" option to show content of that file, and directly edit that file from that Usermin Settings panel.

That's a good idea .. the default in Usermin is to have no signature file, but you can switch to using ~/.signature at Preferences -> Sending Mail. Once this is done, a button to edit the signature will appear belong the mail list.
However, since this is rather obscure, I will make that button always appear, and use .signature by default.
