I guess somewhere in a old version of VM Pro you did not have to create a home directory just a for a alias.
Well that seems to have changed.
I have moved a few domains and even after validating the domains which gave no errors I run across a lot of them that fail to move with the error "A new format backup can only be done when all virtual servers have a home directory" and "AWstats reporting cannot be enabled for a server without a home directory" which both point to no home directory.
This is a critical bug and prevents aliases from being backed up and/or moved. Like I said the validation does NOT say any home directory is missing either.
This is happening on https://lightning.openstream.ch:10000/
Please have a look at this and see if we can correct this without much of a hassle because this server domains must be moved this weekend.

I actually noticed this just last week, and incorporate a fix for it into Virtualmin 3.71, due for release in a few days. If you like, I can send you a pre-release version that includes this fix .. just let me know which package format you'd like.

deb please -- i need to get this fixed fast
what does your fix do ?
It's actually being released tonight or tomorrow, most likely. It's already in QC and is a much smaller set of changes than most previous releases so needs less attention.
