I've found that I'm going to need SOAP support (i.e. --with-soap) in PHP5 for one of my Virtualmin-hosted sites. Would you folks consider adding that feature to your build, at least in the bleeding-edge distribution? There must be at least a few other users with the same need.
If not, what's the recommended way of dealing with special builds? I know that you encourage folks to use the standard build (or, failing that, the bleeding-edge build) for compatibility. What's the most Virtualmin-friendly way of doing a custom PHP build, if I must do one?
Thanks for the excellent job you've done with Virtualmin.

Assigning this to Joe, as he knows most about our PHP packages..

Joe, can you speak to this issue?
Sorry for the slow reply. Yeah, I'll add --with-soap to the next PHP bleeding edge build.

Hey, it looks as though --with-soap didn't make it into that last PHP build. Might you be able to toss it in there now, or schedule it for the next one?
Oops. You're right. I re-based when building again. I'll rebuild. I've finally got my mock environment working well again, so it's no big deal to roll a new one. ;-)

Great! Thanks, Joe.
Oops. Wrong again. php-soap is an extra package. You just need to install it. ;-)
yum install php-soap
