The Cloudmin OS Support page is missing. Here's a page that links to cloudmin/os-support (which doesn't exist):

The "CentOS/RHEL 5, Generic or Solaris" download implies that Debian isn't supported. Is Debian "Generic" enough?

Generic means pretty much any operating system that can run Perl, so Debian is included. The difference from the CentOS/RHEL installer is that the generic version uses tar.gz packages instead of RPMs.
We will soon have a proper installer for Debian which uses .deb packages.
I will let Joe comment on the missing documentation..
