Virtualmin's "Latest" version for phpMyAdmin is 4.2.10 while logging into phpMyAdmin shows:
A newer version of phpMyAdmin is available and you should consider upgrading. The newest version is 4.2.10.1, released on 2014-10-21.
Request to associate "Latest" option with the latest stable phpMyAdmin version, which is 4.2.10.1 now. Thanks.

Virtualmin does already support version 4.2.10.1 - HOWEVER, it can only be installed if you have MySQL 5.5 or later, which isn't common. So if you have an older release, Virtualmin won't offer you the upgrade so that you don't get continually prompted in the UI for an update that isn't possible.
