I try to setup a new virtual server. But it reported
Create a virtual server failed .A unix user named abc.com already exists
Just wonder where I can remove the user
it is not listed as virtual server
or
I need to go to shell using command line to remove the user
Your comment welcome
Howdy,
Well, rather than removing the user, you can also just create a custom username for this particular domain.
To do that, after clicking Create Virtual Server, you can select your desired username in the "Administration username" field.
While you could remove the user, it's difficult to suggest that without knowing more about your setup or if that user happens to be associated with a different Virtual Server.
However, if you're absolutely certain that there's no Virtual Server using that, and that the username was created outside of Virtualmin and is no longer needed -- you can delete a system user in Webmin -> System -> Users and Groups. But, be very careful with that :-)
