changing location of a scheduled backup

I have a scheduled full backup of a virtual server that backs up every night at midnight to folder /home/domainname/virtualmin-backup/backup. The files are fine but I'd like to be able to change the backup location to be a folder under public_html so that a non-privileged user could retrieve the files. The location won't be linked and it's very desirable that an untrained person could retrieve the tarball.

Have I missed some configuration option in the backup location settings?
