Setting up a template for Google Apps clients

Hi guys,

I've got some clients who prefer to use google apps for their email rather than using the hosting service. For these folks, I'd like to set up a template so that their mail settings are set up when their service is created rather than having to change things later.

i know it's possible to add custom DNS entries for a template but how would I remove the default Mail for Domain entries in a template without turning that service off?

Howdy,

If you'd like to add MX entries in place of the typical MX entries -- you'd need to disable the default action of adding DNS entries (the option named "Add above to automatically generated records") -- and instead use the option "Use only the records above" -- and then specify all the DNS records each domain should have, including your custom MX records.
