I've setup a backup using the filesystem backup service to backup the directory /home/...../g2data and save it to a mounted smbfs drive.
I was wonderding if there are inherent problems with backing up straight to a mounted network drive because everytime I run the backup it fails.
The file is created and I can untar/gzip it but recieve this error:
tar: home/fisherphotos/domains/bfisher.fisherphotos.net/g2data/cache/entity/4/8/4822.inc: Cannot change ownership to uid 48, gid 48: Operation not permitted
uid and gid 48 is apache
Is this because virtualmin does not have the grp permissions to make the backup correctly? Would it be better to backup to the local partition then move the backupfile to the network drive?
