Hi,
The full details can be found here: https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php/390832-cpanel-move-to-new...
Screenshots included. Was wondering if you Virtualmin gurus have seen this before. At this point it is hard to tell where the issue lies (it's a bit over my head). Nothing has changed in vBulletin config but as you can see phpmyadmin on the new server shows a little differently.
I am hoping it is a simple Virtualmin config that I can alter, but not sure how screwed up things are.
Thanks
Charset sounds like a MySQL issue, to be honest.
Looking at your screenshot seems to confirm it. (http://i.imgur.com/5RSnq.png)
Your old server used MyISAM with
latin1_swedish_ci
while your new server is using InnoDB withutf8_general_ci
.Hopefully someone will come around with instructions on how to fix that.
Thanks, I hope someone who has seen this can chime in. I did find a vBulletin coder who seems to specialize in fixing this issue but he is slow to respond and in the mean time my site has a lot of garble on it.
got it fixed, in the end all i had to do was change my vbulletin language packs to " UTF-8 " for the character set.
