The NGINX daemon is never listed in service status in Virtualmin without first clicking on "refresh system information", and is not listed in detailed system status in Cloudmin either.

Does this happen after you enable the Nginx plugin for the first time on a new system?
Because the data on the system information page should be refreshed in the background every 5 minutes..

For every system on every boot, unfortunately.
The only way to get the status to show up is to press the Refresh Information.
Might be possible to wait 5 minutes too, but proper behavior is that it should be visible directly after boot.

So after a reboot Nginx is shown as down, or no status is shown at all?

It's running, but there's no status display for it.

Ok, I see the bug here now .. this will be fixed in the next Virtualmin release.
